How to Relieve Anxiety

How to Relieve AnxietyWe all worry, that is completely normal. This is however not the worry we talk about. When your thinking is totally preoccupied by fear and negativity we sometimes feel there is no way out. This can often lead to depression or worse self-harm. There are many effects worry can have on you.

The effects of anxiety

Physical effects often manifest themselves in an abnormal heartbeat, accelerated heartbeat, weakness, sleeplessness, stomach upsets and so on. Some of them more severe then others.

Emotional effects are also very common. Shortening of your attention span, feeling restless, mental blackouts, nightmares and irritability are all emotional effects of anxiety.

Cognitive effects like the fear of dying are not uncommon either.

Behavioural effects may include withdrawal or even affected sleeping patterns

The social impact of anxiety

Social anxiety disorder or SAD for short can have a mayor impact on your life. The inability to function in society will not only isolate you but the suffering in silence can actually make things worse. Unemployment can last for ages or the desired long term employment quickly turns into “another” bad place to work and shift to a new job. It could cause you to be passed over for promotion or worse, you get singled out for all the “bad” stuff that happens.

Simple things like feeling you never do something right or you feel you are always being watched or some of the signs you might suffer. If you are avoiding the coffee machine or start calling sick on days big assignments are due you might be suffering from anxiety and should talk to your Doctor or a health professional.
